New recruit
Glad to be here! Two of your members recommended this forum and I must say at first glance they were right.
A bit about me: father of 3 husband of 1, a unabashed history nut, and proud descendant of WW2 warriors. One GF was US Army in Italy & elsewhere, the other GF (my avatar) was USMC in the Pacific who lost a brother in the 82nd Airborne in Italy.
Again, glad to be here, looking forward to excellent discussion!

Indeed, both of my grandfathers and a great uncle (who was KIA) fought in the war. My avatar (the one you are speaking of?) is my paternal GF, US Marines, Pacific Theater.

Howdy Nolan. Good to see you here as well as over there. I won't tell anyone that you live in Mississippi.
