Greetings all
Hi everyone. Just wanted to post my intro here. I thought I would check this site out. I hope to be able to make some new friends and get in on the discussions. Its nice to see at least one name I reconized LOL. Just alittle about myself. I am a Civil War reenactor and an avid target shooter and weapons collecter. I have been studying military history since My parents bought me a book on WWI when I was 9. My particular interests are military history of the 30s,40s,and 50s.And I especially like studying about the smaller and minor countries. I also like to wargame using miniatures. I use 1/600th for air and ground combat and also for naval coastal combat. I used 1/285th-1/300th/6mm for ground combat. And 1/4800th scale for WWI/WWII naval battles. Thats pretty mush it so far . I look forward to chatting with you all soon. Robert

Re: Greetings all
Hi nice to meet you. You collect war miniatures? That's cool. Takes a lot of patience to paint them.

Thanks . A nice welcome so far. And its nice to see a forum where the Mods aren't just invisible beings who can act without rhyme nor reason but are actual members too.

Thanks Bigfun. I look foward to it too. LOL. I think I really like the way you can customize your profile and other things here. Makes the other types of forums quite boring .

Howdy JC,
I've never learned to rhyme and you can't reason with me.
It is good to see you here. If you know Terry, then that is a good thing. Hope we can learn from each other.

Re: Greetings all
I'd be interested if you could possibly take some pics of your interests....war gaming mini's, i had some back in the 60's but they fell to the side of the garage and were destroyed by my younger brother while off to life elsewhere, I came back to find he had leveled the side of the yard in a gas/fire holocaust which nearly took the side of our house down

Wow Erich. Sorry to hear that . I lost my 30 year collection of minis and wargaming supplies when I had a break up with an ex. She sold them all!! Now I have been starting all over again. I had probably over 5000 dollars worth of just minis at the time. Luckliy I was able to save all the rule sets.LOL. That is one of the reasons that Im staying with just a few scales right now. I have started to collect some 1/444th scale vehicles and aircraft and I have some of the minis from the Axis & Allies game also. Robert

Re: Greetings all
That sounds really impressive. Let me guess: your ex sold your old collection for almost nothing just to annoy you!
