Hello all,
I am new to this forum but it seems cool and informative. I collect weaponry and gear from war period but love the WWII gear. My most prized possesions as far as my gear goes are a 29th helmet from the Omaha beach invasion (given to my by a freind of my grandfather who faught there) a british 6th paratrooper helmet used in the glider force that help hold pegusis(SP) bridge, a WWI Model Mauser Kar 98, a Asaki type 39 (SP) with original bayonets and kill marking (trophy from my grandfather), a unsused M1A1 caribine, and hopfully in a couple of hours a mossin Nagant 44 unrestored. As far as other stuff goes I am huge into herpetology (study of reptiles and amphibians) and own and breed snakes. I also work relocating and ID snakes as well as teaching reptile education classes. I will get some photos up later on but goo to be here!

I'm a bit swamped with reptile stuff at the moment but hopfully I can get my mosin and get soem pictures of everything else up soon!

This is a pair of Dutch resistance crystal radios, built into a small metal can, and a matchbox. The image is from a postcard bought at a Dutch Resistance Museum in Amsterdam. The matchbox is marked in Swedish, but Swedish matches were sold in Holland for many years..

Ya I couldn't help but notice that theres a whoel lot of Texans on this forum! Do any of Ya'll attend the gun shows at the Austin Crocket center every month? They always have some killer WWII weapons and gear there!
