Default G'day from Australia ...

G'day gents,

Just joined up and wanted to introduce myself. I grew up with family from both England and Australia who served in both world wars and have had a lifelong interest in Military History and History in general.

I am a 1000 yard Fullbore shooter in our Military marksman tradition ( No optical assistance, off the elbows with no rest, prone using only aperture sights and a sling for support. I shoot regularly at the Lithgow Small Arms Rifle Club which uses the original Lithgow range where all of the Lithgow built No1 MKIII rifles were test fired upon birth. The Lithgow rifle range still belongs to the ADI factory to this day.

I am a collector of Military Surplus firearms specialising in Lee Enfield rifles - subsequently I am the moderator of the Lee Enfield forum at surplusrifles.com. I look forward to sharing information and learning even more from the great members here.

Best regards, Simon.

Welcome to the forum, Simon.

It's good to have a Lee Enfield specialist onboard.

Hey Skip ... I will definitely do that as I have a few Enfield rifles to show. I have already posted a similar thread in Weapons based on one of my K98's you might want to check out also.
