Hi all, my name is Doug, I live in FL
I go by DogFather, because I have a Border Collie dog/son. 
I'm a history buff, in general and WWII in particular! My father, trained to
fly a Dive Bomber, in WWII. But, never was in combat, but got very close.
He would have participated in the invasion of Japan, had it taken place. He and then went to college on the GI Bill, where he found my mother.
I think it's very interesting how history does seem to repeat itself. That
is one reason, I find it interesting.

Hi Doug! Welcome to a great place to hang out and learn. You will find many like-minded folk here. Where in FL do you live? Ghost of War, Mussolini and I, among others, live in Orlando, and I know I have seen several other Floridians make posts.
Do you have any photos of your Dad's war time experience? If you can post them, we would love to see them.
