D Day - South Staffordshire Regiment?
Hi every one, this is my first post, i live in the Black Country area of the UK. I would like to know if anyone can answer the following question:
Were any of the South Staffordshire Regiment involved in the D Day landings. I know they were involved with the Airborne (gliders) but did any land on the beaches,? I ask this because i know my father landed on one of the beaches and i am sure that at the time he was in the South Staffs.

Chucka,
Pleasure to have you with us, you have joined a wonderful band of characters... as far as your question, I will try my best to find the information you seek. There are plenty of sharp people that roam these parts that will more than likely beat me to the punch! Enjoy your stay for as long as that may be, and greetings from Colorado USA
