Hello
I have been interested in WWII for as long as I can remember but I really got involved when my step father died and left me a Kriegsmarine officer's dagger which his father took from a captured officer off the island of Silt during the war (I don't know what year). I am now a keen collector of daggers, swords and helmets and I have a full display cabinet in my house. I have traveled quite a lot visiting WWII historical sites. I have visited Auschwitz, Oscar Schindler's house and factory and the ghetto in Kracow, the Ann Frank house in Amsterdam, the museums and sites of interest in France, Italy, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria etc. and I was at the 65th anniversary of the D Day landings in Normandy last June. I have a full library of DVDs covering everything to do with the war and hundreds of books on the subject. I look forward to sharing thoughts, opinions and information with other like-minded people. Thanks.
