Allow me to introduce myself...
The username is Kobalt04, but you can call me K04. I'm here to learn as much as I can about the Second World War, especially about the German-Soviet theater of the war (hence my avatar is a Yak-3 Soviet fighter). So I'll be reading a lot here and probably asking the odd question. Not much else to say. Cheers.

Welcome to this fine forum, K04. There are plenty of knowledgeable folk about, so be sure to check the threads on the Eastern front. Have fun and post often.

Re: Allow me to introduce myself...
Welcome KO4. I take it then that you're interested in Soviet airpower issues over the Eastern Front?

Re: Allow me to introduce myself...
Thank you, everyone, for the welcoming messages. And in answer to the question of Erich, I chose a Yak-3 for my avatar as it was simply the first piece of Soviet war inventory that popped into my head when I was setting up this membership. No other reason. And in answer to applevalleyjoe's question, you take it correctly that I am particularly interested in, though not limited by, the development of Soviet air power on the Eastern Front during the Second World War. There is a lot to learn. Again, many thanks for your messages of welcome, K04

Re: Allow me to introduce myself...
D.G. Mitichell and Skipper thanks for the messages and the tips, gentlemen. I'd be very interested in finding out information on the Normandie-Niemen squadron. It is good that there is such a good search facility on this board with access to much information about Soviet air power during WWII from like-minded people. I've used it once thus far; I can see it is going to get a lot of use from me from now and into the future. I can only repeat that there is a lot to learn. Again, thanks gentlemen, K04
