Thumbs up Honor Flights of Northern California

My name is Mel Boyd, former airman and Vietnam vet. I am not here to talk about me. I am here looking for World War II veterans of California, to tell you about Honor Flights of Northern California. All World War II veterans that are residents of California that have not had the privilege to see the World War II memorial in Washington DC are invited to join the Honor Flights of Northern California. This is an all volunteer organization that has a mission to fly as many California World War II veterans to Washington DC to see the magnificent memorial the size of a football field, dedicated to all those brave soles that were in the service at that particular time in history. There is no charge for this trip from the airport of departure including hotel and scheduled meals. The next flight is early next year 2010 so I suggest you contact the Honor Flights of Northern California as soon as possible and request an application be sent to you or you can print one directly from their website. The contact information is: www.honorflightnorcal.org or call 530 357-3380. I am just a messenger so please use the information above for finding out about this once in a lifetime journey. I salute you World War II veterans, god bless you and your families. Sincerely Mel Boyd, former Buck Sgt. US Air Force.

Thanks Mel...this is so cool! I'm so sorry that my father who recently passed will be missing out of this generous offer...he would have loved it!
