"... for your viewing pleasure ..."

<a href="http://www.milhist.net/encyc/milencyc.shtml">Military Encyclopedia ¥ Italian Campaign, 1943-1945</a>

This is a transcription, into PDF files, of a 600-page document prepared by 15th Army Group in the summer of 1945.

The link given above contains the set of 15 links to execute the PDF downloads. The first of those links is a detailed table of contents.

Thank you for the info, on line access to the book is very useful and, as noted in your comments, the American perspective.

It would be mind-boggling if the official Records Offices ever put their archives on the net!

Many thanks for that link - a great source for those of us interested in the Italian campaign.

No. 9 notes, above:
"It would be mind-boggling if the official Records Offices ever put their archives on the net!"

The next best thing is now underway. Below is an abbreviated contents list of some CDs in my library. I'll dig up and post later this week price and ordering information.

As to the "Military Encyclopedia" I've put online, a lower-echelon document, there were only 1200 copies produced by 15th Army Group in '45; the last one I saw offered online was priced at $375. Please share the link for this resource with others who might benefit from it.
