Hi

I would like to know the route taken by British troops being shipped to North Africa during 1942 - ports stopped at etc. The Regimental War Diaries I have studied do not mention specfics due to security reasons.

If you can get lt.col buchanans small history of 5th northants.. That may be of use. Mostly though on troop ships heading for op torch.. If you get a copy.. Let me steal it off you, ive only seen it in libraries.
