Once you get involved in science all the pseudo-sciences (astrology, aliens, conspiracy-theories) just become sickening. They are a very real sign that something is seriously wrong in our society. People are ignoring reality and instead fleeing into the world of crackpots and... what is the English word?? "Quacksalber". Anyway, anybody who thinks it never happend should pick up a serious book about it and read.
Geezo Andreas, don;t bring it up here in my little hamlet in southern Oregon. We have one of the largest new-age psychic and astrology clans anywhere in the States. Back in the 1960's we had a so-called enlightenment of peoples here with over 3 hippe clans in the area. One is still here and have settled in the little bizaree town of Cave Junction 25 miles to our southwest, this town was the one besides Selma that almost got torched by the fire. From these two towns sprung up 3 other towns dedicated to quite a different atmosphere of folks, whom believe that there are special beings and things of un-equalled nature under my home town and theirs.....the Platonic sphere as they feel is shifting causing a small rift in the cycle of our little universe.......what a bunch of crap ! Too much smokin those doobies if you ask me E
It's always refreshing to see a couple of our brown robed clad friends walking down our main 6th street.....reminds me of the Lord of the rings......seriously ! E
I saw the Fox program referenced (it was interesting) and I have a friend who is dead set that NASA never landed on the moon. My response, as everyone's should be, is simply this. USA and USSR were in a desperate race to get to the moon. Both countries could monitor and track everything that each other put into orbit...or farther. For the past 30+ years, Russia has never once made a statement that the US lied in regard to its moon landings. If NASA had tried to pull a 'fast one,' I am sure that the Soviet Union would have not hesitated to throw egg in our face and parade proof of that deception to the masses. To me, the silence from Russia speaks volumes. Just my two cents........
