    Doh! I cannot believe I overlooked these {giving myself a good swift kick}

From the movie "Lawrence of Arabia". In this scene, Lawrence is attempting to convince the Arab leader to commit his forces too battle:

These aren't exact quotes, as I lost my copy of this great film some time ago:(. If anyone has this film feel free to either post the exact quotes, or PM me so I can edit my post.

Arab leader (Played by Omar Sharif I think): "The English have a powerful navy, and this allows you to go as you will, and strike as you will. This is what makes the English great.
Lawrence (Played by peter O'Toole): "The desert is like a sea of sand, across which the Arab can go as you will, and strike as you will. This is what makes the Arab great.

    Outside the leaders tent.
Lawrence: "Akaba is over there, It's only a matter of going"

And later, coming upon a massacre committed by the retreating Turks.
    Lawrence: "NO PRISONERS!"

    I love this movie.:)

    Aliens.

Ripley: How long after we're declared overdue can we expect a rescue?
    Hicks: [pause] Seventeen days.
Hudson: *Seventeen days?* Hey man, I don't wanna rain on your parade, but we're not gonna last seventeen hours! Those things are gonna come in here just like they did before. And they're gonna come in here...
    Ripley: Hudson!
Hudson: ...and they're gonna come in here AND THEY'RE GONNA KILL US!
Ripley: HUDSON! This little girl survived longer than that with no weapons and no training.
    [to Newt]
    Ripley: Right?
    [Newt apes a salute]
Hudson: Why don't you put her in charge?
    .......................................................................
Sorry, not a one-liner but I like it. One of my favorite movies.

That's funny I was just thinking about Battle of the Bulge when Hessler says:

The Russian Front doesn't put meat on a man's bones General

The They Live quote was used again in Dazed And Confused as:

I came here to drink beer and kick ass and it looks like we're all out of beer.

This as the kid who get bayoneted in Saving Private Ryan by the SS Schutze again gets his ass kicked, well almost, he gets saved by the quarterback.

"James McCandles to Jacob "Big Jake" McCandles: We havent seen you for over thirteen years Daddy!"

    Big Jake to James: "Daddy?"

James to Big Jake: "Daddy!" At that, Big Jake reaches over and pulls James off of his Horse and then punches James in his jaw knocking him into a large nearby puddle of mud.

"You had better start respecting your elders James, and if you can't respect your elders then you had better respect your betters! You can call me Jacob, Jake, or a dirty son of a bitch but, if you ever call me Daddy again; we'll finish this fight."

From the excellent John Wayne Western: "Big Jake."
