The year is nearly at an end, so this is a good time to review some of the year's best and worst. What do you view as the best and/or worst of 2003 in:

    A. Events (global, regional, or local)

    B. People (statesmen, athletes, entertainers, journalists, authors, etc.)

    C. WWII Forums (Topics, posts and/or people) Be kind with this one. [IMG]

    D. Films, books or music

    E. Any other relevant categories ....

People(rated in +/-): Bush gets a big - in my opinion. The whole Iraq thing finally soured me on him, but his economic/environmental policy didn't help either.

Dean gets a + for not bullcrapping around and saying whats on his mind.

Gaddafi actually gets a + specifically for his announcement to give up wmd.

Kim Jong gets a huge - for all the nonsense hes stirring up in Asia. His hairdo policy didn't help either.

Limbaugh gets a - for his hypocritical drug use, although thats heaped upon a mountain of -'s.

The men and women serving in Iraq get a + for their brave service.

Michael Jackson gets a -, even if he's innocent theres something not right with that much plastic surgery.

Mac users get a monstrous - for not seeing the light. [IMG]

Ashcroft gets a big fat F.

I don't know where Saddam falls in. He hasn't done anything especially horrible this year in particular, but why not a - for good measure.

    The worst:

    - President Bush's economical and foreign policies.
    - The 'Governator'...
    - Terrorist attacks all over the globe.

I'll have to think about many other things, good and bad...

Vincente Fox, El Presidento of Mehico. The worst starter of a human plague to ever be on the opposite side of our border.

This DORK thinks it can force our govt to bend to its will and allow, that's ALLOW untold hundreds of thousands of illeagal aliens to sneak across our borders to scam and scourage our border states and to come here to cause trouble, committing many crimes and forcing the hard-working AMERICAN taxpayeer to also fragging GIVE them a free place to live, to GIVE them free food, to GIVE them free medical, to GIVE them free access to any areas of this country they deem at will to infest. All of which, comes out of my and all other tax-paying Americans meagre income to pay for.

Im sick and tired of when I need some medical attention that I either are not qualified for assistance or I have to wait for 4 months, that's 4 MONTHS!!!! before I can be seen by a doctor.

On the other hand, an illeagal can go to the hospital or get ahead of anyone else and get all the medical treatment they need and NOT have to pay tazes and do their share to pay back what they owe to repay for all the services that they require to fragging live here.

Another thing, when I needed help on these things in the past, I was not able to qualify for any of this assistance when I needed it, I as a Taxpayer.

Vincente Fox needs to start taking care of his own people and stop them from all wanting to sneak into the USA in order to get work or to live.

But hell no, Vincente Fox will NOT stop the flow of illeagals into our country from the Southern Border because it is Mexicos 2nd biggest cash cow. $40 BILLION Dollars worth folks. That is $ 40 billiob that should have stayed inside our biorders, but no, instead all that money is being siphoned off by all these illeagals sending this cash back to relatives in Mexico.

Along with their travels to many areas of the country will also come with poverty and disease and in some cases, crime.

Another thing, this crap about the Matricula Consolar is nothing but a fragging scam and is designed for nothing less than to make it much easier for illeagal aliens to get other services here.

Fried, you need to wipe the sweat from your eyes and take a good look, instead of spouting off at the mouth before you know the facts.

I forgot to add that I disagree with most of this country's internal policies. Its legislative power is almost useless and is messing everything up, along with ultraconservative organisation who try to veto laws already-aproved.

Carl, I am not going to say a single word about your post because I am not going to start another silly discussion. And if I don't adress to you in that agressive way, please do not do that with me either. You can think about Fox and Mexico whatever you want, but don't mess with me.

I cannot forget about a very good things about this year:

    - Saddam's fall and capture.
    - Qadaffi giving up WMD.
    - Iran finally wanting to sign weaponry regulations.

And I can think of another very bad thing:

    - Israel's wall... [IMG]

Having delivered my main 'thumbs down', here are my 'thumbs ups' :-

    B. People - The Dambuster survivors ( especially Ray Grayston ) and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight for making the 60th Anniversary events so special.

    C. This Forum - obviously Otto for keeping the whole thing in existence. But most of us here just read, dream or imagine the war : so a special [IMG] for 'Sapper', Brian Guy, who has given special authenticity here with his patient and fascinating postings. Long may they continue !

    D. Books ? Obviously ( ;) ) , this is my personal choice but on reflection it has to be ' Dambusters - The Definitive History Of 617 Squadron At War 1943-1945 ' by Ward, Lee & Wachtel. My own copy is autographed by 617 veterans Grayston, Humphries & Iveson and is something I'll always treasure.

I won't. You can say anything you want about Mexico and Fox, as I said. But do not include me in any of your comments. That's all I ask for.
