Hi, haven't been here in awhile....

Anyway, I posted a link about this game months ago. It's finally out for PS2 and Im surprised there isn't a topic about it on here. I love the game. It's easy to control and you fly everything from Spitfires, P-51's, B-17's, P-38's, Russian IL2's to Stukas, JU-88's, FW190's, Zero's and ME 262's......sick game. Try it if you like ww2 gaming...

I've been sticking with the medal of honor series. Is battlefield 1942 any good? I've never played it.

    Thanx for the info!

I saw the " Secret weapons over Normandy " on PS2 in the shops and I think I´ll be buying it soon. So far the PC versions have been better in this area.

BF 1942 is an excellent computer game to come home to and blow things up and shoot up people.

At times it is frustrating because you have numerous people running all over a battle field doing their own thing. If they all worked together as one cohesive unit it would be very cool.

I've played online with a friend using a head set talking in real time working as a small squad. That is probably the most satisfying part of my BF 1942 experience.

Overall it is a great game to play online against different people and try your skills.

Secret Weapons over Normandy is an awesome game. i bought it for PS2. Currently stuck on the Battle of Midway mission. The people who made the game are the same ones who made Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. I am not typically one to like flight-sims, but this game is amazing! Aircraft models and damage are amazing, as are the sounds. Missions are challenging too, and you get to fly 24 different planes england German Planes and the Japanese 'Zero'.

I'm playing this game now and "awesome" is the word for it. Also, much more challenging than MOH>

Yep "The secret weapons" sounds great especially as it is (?) the first playstation game with good air fighting capacity.

I have several PC versions and I´ve been able to attack B-17´s with my FW190 or me262 ( the mighty bombers tend to fall too easily ) but if I understood it correctly you can play the famous "Stuka party" with the "Secret weapons".

I´m gonna get the game but just now I´m still too deep in my football managerial stuff.. (CM4).

    ;)

Got me the PS2 version a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed the gameplay alot. Still in the early parts of the game but looks very good. Even if the Stukas fall rather fast it is quite a job to drop the needed number in time in the Dunkerque mission...
But truly recommendable especially if you have PS2!

    ;)

The old Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe was better - it was a real combat sim.
You could fly the Me-262, Me-163, Ho-229, 109 and FW109 ... Mustang, P-47, B-17. There was also an add-on to fly the P-38, P-80, He-162, and Do 335. They should have just "re-made" the game and released it again with updated graphics.
In the new game - I get to fly the Pancake - wow - what a POS!
