Slon, you are correct in not liking al. This guy has been in so many scandals over the last what? 30 or more years-that would fill the cargohold of a merchant ship.

This guy is as bad if not worse than, the aclu. Heh heh, and get this, the aclu has branches in ENGLAND; of all places. Can anyone please explain to me just why the American civil liberties union is (a.c.l.u) in England? Perhaps Stefan can? ;-)) and i'm not picking on you ;-))

At any rate, the so-called ""Reverend"" has never held more than a few-so called- ""Proxy"" sermons. Simply put, the guy aint no Reverend.

The ACLU website does not mention any affiliate members outside the States, and the only ACLU I can find in Britain are the Adult and Community Learning Units (ACLU).

We do have the equivelant in Liberty, but I'd be really interested to find out if there's an ACLU near where I live.

 

They have a big branch office in London, I can't be factual on other locations but also heard they were in Portsmouth. I have a friend that lives threr near the waterfront and I can ask him to check.

I think I've found some details of ACLU meetings organised for US students in London but not branches as such.

 

Only help I can offer is to point out we live in a crazy world, the other week I saw black and asian kids handing out national front leaflets in Gloucester...

Of course some of the forum members will probably dismiss this as a prank and that the black community is over-reacting but I think the symbolism was quite clear.

 

Hi Amrit, for sure there is a branch office in London and is probably there for students and ex-patriots and such. I really can't fathom why else it might be there for. The only places I can think of that you might want to go to to try and find out more info on this are the Bill O-Reilly and Sean Hannity; websites. I do not know if the info will be there but, both of them have had numerous runins with this branch of the aclu. Other than that, I can't cite anything I heard as I did not pay attention it when I heard about it on both their TV shows.

 

I don't know enough about the national front, can you please tell me more about them? The name implies that they are anti-British or anti-govt or something similar.

 

Far right wing bunch of racist lonatics who want to have all ethnic minorities kicked out of the country if not worse. Made a name for themselves going around beating up anyone who wasn't white or who stod up to them.

Thanks for informing me about them Stefan. It looks to me that they are nothing but white trash. Im against ANYthing that is far--anything as you know they will be lunitics. I equally intensly dislike the kkk and the black panthers - just to name prime examples.
