Very odd, some soviets mucking about for propaganda use?

Yes it is M4 with T34 engine.

During late 60's, Yugoslavia had in it's tank arsenal lot of different stuff, including M4, T34, M47, while T55 were arriving. Since it was logistical nightmare, they tried to make some unification. So, they did:
- rechambered M4 hull machine gun
- tried different gun for M4 and T34, but without success
- tried six shermans with T34 engine, but it was not succesful - photo seen here

One of succesful conversion was M36 Hellcat with T55 engine, which gave this ww2 vet service into XXI century.

Recon Pz.38t Sdkfz.140/1
Result of a September 1939 requirement, filled the gap as a partner to that 'VK1303' project. (Sdkfz123 Luchs being the 'official' eventual choice for full track recon in Russia).

70 built from new and recycled chassis in February and March '44 - basically the turret from the SdKfz 222 plonked on a Pz.38 Chassis. (Interestingly, two vehicles are said by Spielberger to have been completed with a 75mm L24 instead of the standard 20mm Armament; not sure I've ever seen a picture of them though.)

Next question open to anyone.

That was quick! The name I was looking for was "Aufklarer auf Fahrgestell P.kpfw 38(t), but that was good enough. Let me give another try before I give up, I'm sure you will get this one quickly too, but I'll give it a try.

Looks like one the SiG 33 on Pz III chassis mods that were sent to Stalingrad. Have to look up the official designation.

EDIT: possibly sIG 33 15-cm auf PzKpfw III (but can't find a Sdkfz #).

 

Don't think they had an SdKfz# ToS, sometimes referred to as SiG33D, (maybe purely to distinguish from other 'SIG33' vehicles) Or '15cm SturmInfanterie Geschutze 33' - built up into StuIgs mostly from reworked StuGs.
That picture from 1943. Worked up from late '42, & all 24 trashed by October '43, so I suppose it didn't really matter much what they were called .

 

I was looking for the name sIG-33B but that close enough, so on to you.

You got it, I've usually seen it referred to as A7V/U to distiguish it from the tortoise like A7V but I don't have any original German docs and dont't read German anyway.

Very few A7 were built, most German WW2 tank units used captured romboids like the ones being repaired in the a Belgian factory below (wanted to use it as a quiz but could not find a german designation for the captured tanks).

Looks very much like the Borgward B IV or Sdkfz 301, the goliath rado controlled demolition tank's bigger brother. But it differs in some details, like the fully enclosed driving position, from the pic's I've seen.

PzI.....my first thought was that the gun might be a dummy, but they wouldn't have needed to extend the turret upwards - maybe a French 25mm?
