Panzer212, Nice work, had to really look to find that one. ADMK-Austro-Daimler Motor Karette (early model) Incorporated into german army after Anschluss. 334 built-mostley used by mountain troops.
It wasn't that easy. i have never seen it before and I had to troll 3 sites to find it! This one should be easy, even if I did take the caption off this time!
Belasar, i like the P26 Jagdtiger Wooden model! But to be honest, i read the name in your pic. Please change pics name! Regards Ulrich
Actually I intended th P26/40 Italian Heavy tank in the forground. Tried to crop the Jagdtiger, and you are right I do need to change the name. lesson learned!
That is the "Stuka Zu Fuss" (spelling?) - also known as the foot stuka and the bellowing cow. Basically 6 heavy unguided rockets stuck to the side of a Sdkfz 251 halftrack.
Did know the "Stuka Zu Fuss" but not the "Heulende Kuh", where does the second nickname come from please??? Didn't sound like a cow...
It means " Howling cow" and comes from the noise that the rockets of the Nebelwerfer made. Regards Ulrich
Curious about where a picure of a P26 and a model Jagdtiger would co-exist, AFAIK the few P26 built were used in Italy or at most the Balkans. Do you have info on that pic?
TOS, have only this. http://www.esercito.difesa.it/root/equipaggiamenti/mez_sto_cing_ita_P40.asp http://www.tarrif.net/cgi/production/all_vehicles_adv.php?op=getvehicles&vehiclesX=132 Regards Ulrich
The original photo is not a combat deloyment image but rather loos like a vehicle demonstation to big wigs. the original photo came from wikipedia, as did the missed up caption the forground is a P-26/40 Italian heavy tank and the bacground vehicle is a wooden mock up of a early JagdTiger. hope that helps. Belasar
I don't think that one is done yet, perhaps it needs to go back to the factory. It does look German though.
