Back to my rare fellow from further up then edit: just seen your edit - close enough Type 92 Jyu-Sokosha 'heavy armoured car' light tank on you again
sorry got a copyright infringement message instead of the picture. You naughty man! Managed to get through to the pic - looks like a Romanian TACAM T-60
Ok will give a clue - existed in prototype form only, was originally a production order for Yugoslavia but events overtook it and no more were built.
Would possibly have recognized the Skoda look anyway but your hint makes it too easy. The usual Tanks! site has that picture. TANKS! T-3D (Skoda S-I-j) Assault Gun
Absolutely right, T-3D - sorry if was too much of a clue (couldn't think of much to say other than Skoda or Yugoslavia) - it had been a long time hanging. Your turn
Just "burned" a few good candidates like the Ansaldo prototypes. This looks nice even if the pic looks heavily retouched View attachment 14583 Possibly the track heads were all busy discussing tankettes and weel and tracks
I believe that's a Trippelwerke schildkrote 3? And definitely not enough discussion on tankettes and wheel/tracks at all
That was quick for an obscure German private venture design that never saw service !!! Schildkröte 3 it is, complete with MG 151 20mm (even managed to do the ö despite my keyboard !!!). One thing that made me wondering about those vehilcles is the Schildkröte 2 reported armament of an MG81 paired with an MG 34. I can understand the use of aircraft weapons if the designer had better access to them than to the army equivalents but while the MG 81 was the ultimate bullet hoose, with a theoretical ROF that dwarfed even the MG 42, two different MGs shooting the same ammo mouunted side by side makes little sense. Over to you
I suspect the random MG arrangements were either a 'what was lying around' decision, or just a 'why don't we try 2 and see which is best, they'll change it anyway' thing. we'll probably never know Ok for the next (i'm assuming armoured cars are ok on this thread - if not please let me know and i'll not do it again); what is this?:
That looks like a stepping stone from the pre war Kfz 13 to the Sdkfz 222 but can't find anything that fits the description.
Ok will give a small clue - it was in service in quite large numbers nearly 4000 built i believe probably more than half were the model shown
Too much hint again My knowledge of AFVs stops at 1945, but that big a number makes me think South Africa. According to this Armoured Cars Equipment Page it should be a Humber Scout Mk III
Spot on - Humber LRC 3 (1940-43) (uk+commonwealth) - will have to work on my hint strategy a bit more sorry back to you.
