LOL Yes I have seen that before. I always like to point out the inaccuracies of the "uniform" he is wearing LOL
I'll bet it was! Looks like fun to me! Stefan, we need to see a pic of you now! Michelle, very nice paintings! I like your studio as well! Since I am requesting pics of you guys in your hobbies, thought I would post one of me as well. This is just about a month ago, a 5 ft shark I caught in about 30 feet of water, he fought like crazy! sorry, i forgot to mention, this is a Lemon shark.
Damn right mate, my room even has a whiff of that universal 'stores' smell coming from old uniforms and polished boots. Ahh, there are few things better than waking up and realising that during the night your heavy woolen uniform has absorbed all the water from miles around and now weighs twice your bodyweight, but at least the little body heat you have managed to produce has warmed it up a little!

Well Oregon is the worst place to wear a wool uniform LOL. Rain and heat. I thank god for my "gum blanket" while pulling picket duty.
LOL. We have had a few Sharps shooters in our reenactments. There is one in the lower left hand corner of this pic.
Mine's an 1859 replica with micrometer tang peep sight and globe and hood front using 550 grain triple grease ring minie balls or 650 grain triple grease ring flat bottom patched ball over 80 gains of musket powder. Freight train meets match stick, if you know what I mean. I'm working on getting a 40 cal maynard in a ballard highwall drop block so I can use .303 cartrigdges for reloads but that is a while off yet.
Music listening ( especially 80´s music ) Movie watching ( comedies, scary movies ) Watching and playing football
Love the pics JC, particularly the check shirt one. 'Scruffy soldiering' is definately the future when it comes to re-enactment, it looks so much better than the pristine parade ground tin soldiers you see around a lot of the time.
Thanks . At least the shirt is cotton so I am somewhat cool. Everything else is wool. I try to not wear the shell jacket or Frock coat as mush as possible during the summer.
