I hear ya!! Like WWF wrestling figures? I have a friend who is huge into Kiss figures! You should put up a pic!
I'm actually looking to get my hands on some WW2 figs but they are a little expensive on ebay, especially the vehicles. A german tank went for over $100. Here's my westling figure collection that someone wanted to see pics of.

Just stumbled on this thread so my hobbies have been: amateur radio (K5MEW) CFII (Certified Flight Instructor, Instruments) Model Aircraft WWII history (I wish I had found this forum years ago!) Photography (digital only now) Genealogy Mostly, now I only do the WWII history reading and this forum. As Slipdigit said, after the kid, who has the time??
Oh please don't ruin my image of you dressing like that on a daily basis, we need more eccentrics. Mine are reading History, collecting books, modelling and painting, wargaming in 6mm, kayaking, target shooting, airsoft and also art painting/drawing. Building up to do more writing again, but easily distracted.
I fish a lot when we go back up north for vacation, where we used to fish practically all the time. I do alot of filmmaking and screenplay writing, and I'm thinking of going to a filmmaking college. I also play piano
I fish a lot when we go back up north for vacation, where we used to fish practically all the time. I do alot of filmmaking and screenplay writing, and I'm thinking of going to a filmmaking college. I also play piano, paint figures, make models and dioramas, and do anything related to history or warfare lol
I'm a boring person. I have a lot of interests, but only these are active for now: self-destructing relationship, weightlifting, WW2, economics, finance & investments, accountancy.
My self-destructing relationship is rather typical- We get along great but we have absolutely nothing in common in terms of interests. She likes theater, literature, film, directing, boozing, etc. and I have no interest in any of that. And she has no interest in anything I do
Before I became a supervisor, my hobby and passion was antique fire engine restoration. This is a 1952 American LaFrance series 800 that we restored. Before: alf800.jpg picture by Yeehaarider - Photobucket After: 800.jpg picture by Yeehaarider - Photobucket However, that kind of hobby is not only labor intensive, but time consuming. Time is something I have a lot less of. When I have time, I write. I very nearly sold two movie scripts last year.
Nice job on that fire engine! My hobbies have changed a little, I fish all the time now! Still into saltwater fish, mostly corals now though. And a recent hobby is biking, used to do it a lot years ago. Put in 9 miles yesterday at an average of 12 miles an hour! Not great, but not bad for a guy who is really out of shape!!
I have it story boarded. I haven't typed it. It would have to be a HUGE budget CGI heavy masterpiece. Do you know how we could sell the story? IMPORTANT- Because details are important to us, control of the story is of utmost importance. If we sell the story, how do we keep Hollyweird from turning it into a stinker like Pearl Harbor?
It seems that since I discovered this site, it has taken over most of my "spare time" at work. So I guess that is my biggest hobby for now. It's much better that watching TV. At home and off the clock, my biggest activities are participating in my Mardi Gras Krewe and snow skiing. I used to have a small business that I operated out of the house, a cigar business. It did ok, but it got too big for a part-time business. I sold cigars on a route and also at out of town trade shows from a booth, so I guess that was a hobby that paid it's bills and made a few extra dollars. I might pick it back up once I retire. So now it's mostly tailgate parties, Mardi Gras festivities, skiing, and smoking cigars while riding the lawnmower. It's tough, let me tell you.
