    Hi
Recently i picked up a WW2 British War Medal, with an M.I.D emblem on the ribbon. Unusually the medal was roughly named, to R.BENNETT 2.PARA, in the same style of naming as can sometimes be seen on privatly named WW2 medals to the Indian Army. I contacted the Parachute Regiment museum to try and find out some information on Bennett, particulary about what he did to earn his M.I.D. Unfortunatly they couldn't supply me with any information as they said they couldn't trace the guy without his regimental number.
Does anybody know of any publications, rolls etc that i may be able find, that list the names etc of the 2nd Parachute Regiment personnel that took part in Operation Market Garden, or any other action the Regiment was involved in. Although the guys name is quite common, i think that he may be still researchable, because he was M.I.D
    Cheers Graz
