Hey, if one can eat ostrich why not camel? Does it taste like what, chicken? I can see it from here: Chameau au Vin à la Za!

Camels and Kangaroos? Next thing they're gonna tell us is we should be eating poor defenseless veggies!

I have eaten quite a bit of ostrich, and the nearest flavor to it is lean beef. Now, I only have this next on the word of others but I understand that camel tastes much like goat. If so, I wouldn't mind camel since I like goat (if not to old a beast) meat and even our pronghorn antelope here in MT. tastes much like goat, if it hasn't been run before being taken. If you take one after the "speed goat" has stretched his/her legs for a few minutes even dogs have trouble with the flavor.

In that case think old, molding sweat socks, wrapped delicately around a turd. Now, no amount of cooking or spices can make that palatable.

    Sigh!...Bigfun made a statement about eating veggies (vegetarians)...and I'm a vegetarian...so I said "I'm not on the menu"...which means I don't want to be eaten by a meat eater...and...oh I give up!!! :)

I do not class myself as a vegetarian as I eat fish. ;)

I went off meat years ago......No I'm not a animal rights nutter.

No, but perhaps we might discuss tripe recipes. Your town is famous for that!

Not for much else, but one gets what one deserves...
