I just wanted to introduce myself and say Hello. I am 43 years old and am from Southern California, USA. I have been interested in WW2, basically, all my life. My grandparents were of the WW2/Great Depression generation, and I grew up with them talking to me about WW2. My dad was a little boy during WW2, and he also tells me stories about the climate surrounding his childhood during WW2. He was about the same age during WW2 as I was during Vietnam. I am an avid shooter and reader. I have three children, and I try to talk to them as much as possible about WW2 and the events that brought about its absolute necessity. They need to know. (War is, sometimes, the answer, despite what some people will say). Thank you very much for having me aboard.
Bockscar, welcome to the forum! I know you'll enjoy it here. With almost ten years of threads on a lot of subjects, just searching a topic is a great way to start your research of areas you are interested in. The members with blue names are real WWII veterans. Sapper's thread on his D-Day and WWII experiences are priceless! Enjoy!
Thank you very much. I am eagerly anticipating my journeys through this forum. (In fact, I already ordered a book about the siege at Leningrad based on one of the reviews I read). I will look for Sapper's threads.
