I'm looking at my brothers service record and need a little assistance with some acronyms that the Navy uses.
Under "Reason for Entry" it shows "Rec" and one entry is "CR".
Under "Duty and Equiptment" is "FFT" and one "FFA".
Under "Type" I see things like "ATB" ABATV" "AATB" "R/S"

I can see why the Navy was a 4 year hitch--thakes an extra year to learn the acronyms.:)
    Thanks for any help.

A little hard to tell out of context. Can you post a partial picture, without your brother's personal info?

I'll see if I can figure out how to do that. The personal data is pretty generic-no problem with that. Thanks and I'll get back.

Thanks for solving three-the others that end in ATB, like AATB and ABATB must be locations--gives me a good clue
Maker33: the first link is really great. It doesn't answer this question but I bookmarked it because it has so much good information. I didn't get time to upload a copy of the service records yet, but it may be helpful when I do.
    Thanks a bunch.
