If Fritz Todt did not die in the airplane crash and Albert Speer had never become the minister of armaments how long do you guys think the war would have lasted? I know when speer did take over he made the war last about 2 more years than it most likely would have. If anyone has any idea what would have happened that would be cool.

Well after going on an inspection tour in the Russian front in 1941, he did request better conditions and to supply the troops better from Hitler but Hitler denied him so. From someone who was behind the construction of the autobahn, maybe he could've done something different concerning logistics but eventually he wouldn't be able to have over-ridden Hitler.

I know it was quite a shock when hitler told speer that he was going to be in charge of armaments since he had no experience in that field at all. It always amazed me when certain situations that would help the troops out or more equipment hitler always seemed to deny it. Also hitler would put someone like speer in a position where they had no experience and hope for the best. I never understood that. It is like he wanted to lose the war.
