I'm new and not very good at the game but China is a game within the game.

None of the Chinese countries could be considered a world power. China is very different from the US in that things start to happen rather quickly. You could build up until Japan strikes in 1937 and make a land grab of conquered Japanese territories or try to unify China as Mussolini and I attempted.

Of course Mussolini has Communist China and I have Nationalist China. My political advisors went postal when the alliance was made with Communist China. This has posed challenges but has worked out very well.

We had 2 different attempts at the Japanese; in both occasions the Japanese did what we did not expect. We did much better in the 2nd attempt as we learned much from our initial mistakes.

Through some very interesting circumstances Communist China has emerged as very much of a force to be reckoned with and Japan got dealt some serious damage. I'll let Matt delve into this more but playing this scenario out in CO-OP mode is becoming quite addicting.

That I shall. I am working on cropping images, uploading them on a crap connection, and sorting through my memory of the last week of play. As you can see, we've played about 12 hours worth of the game (or there abouts) in sessions of 2 - 4 hours, depending on when we get started.

Feel free to 'Salute' me if you like my AAR's - or at least give me some feedback so I know people are actually interested in reading up on my AAR.

Also, the AAR is mostly from the Communist perespective, so I will Paul fill you in in this thread on his version of things.

One setback that Mussolini encountered was that we could not attack Xibei San Ma which is the middle purple country because of it's attachment to my country. What this meant was that he could not deploy his troops forward in battle. You have to have a contiguos chain of provinces for deployment.

Since the start of this MP co-op game we've undertaken co-op games with Joe and Tomcat. HOI offers great opportunities to get several people in a game at once. Connection issues aside someday this might be fun as a 2 on 2 game.

I find myself struggling a little to keep up with the masterminds of the game :) but have learned quite a bit through being on the same map discussing the game as months pass by.

well, that Russian division was certainly random, also, apparently the sheer number of times the word "China" has been used on that page apparently has made the advertisements think that the people reading the page speak Chinese, one of the adds was for the 2010 US census, but it was in Chinese XD

    lol yep, rather interesting.

Just finished playing for the night, into 1940 now and we've had some interesting things occur. I've taken 'Taiwan' from the Japanese. We also took our Island back from them, and are working our way towards Radar and the like. We're drawing up our plans for an Invasion of Japan. I have Mig-3's in production right now.

Will maybe post an update tomorrow. Napoleon Total War arrives though so i might be distracted.

No worries, N:TW would probably be distracting me too, if only my PC could play it, instead Bioshock 2 is eating my time atm.

Part 1 of a 2-Part update has been posted. Getting close to a 2 year period (or so) where not much really happened. I will try to focus an update on that period on the Technology and Production of the Two Chinas.
