I am always sorry to hear others are having 'issues', on a week-end; be it health of parents, in-laws, children or anything like that. My heart goes out to all who are, and prayers as well. Clint.
Friday for me-nothing much except I had to visit Chase Bank to make sure a money problem not caused by me-that appeared on my bank card account-was addressed and cleared. I had tried using their outdoor ATM last night about 7Pm because I was trying to get some money out and buy one of my Brothers Supper at a great Mexican Restaurant (owned and operated by non-Mexicans) which actually is a great place to eat it. The restaurant is called: Chuys-pronounced: Chewies. Anywya, the damned ATM refused to give me money saying had already used my limit for the day ($400) even though I had not used it since the day before when I pulled out the proper amount for this months rent. Well, I waltzed over to Chase this morning and was able to withdraw enough money for my next two weeks needs. After that, I decided to take a City bus to downtown and walk around a few streets to see what I could possibly visit in upcoming trips to downtown. I saw aLOT of Wierdos, Good-looking Ladies, quite a few homeless people, bums, former inmates etc. I saw an auto accident on the corner of Guadalupe and 34th street. The idiot tried to make a righthand turn in front of a bus in the far righthand lane-and the bus couldnt stop in time and mashed said persons car in the rear and tore its cheap bumper off. Finally made it to the South side of Austin and went to a Mexican Restaurant just to drink some Iced Tea and watch Guadalcanal Diary on my portable DvD player. After the movie was over, I packed up and took the bus back home. On the way home, in the empty bench seat next to mine-I met three very pretty ladies today and was engaged in conversation with all three of them. My 100++ minute trip back home breezed by pretty fast when talking with these ladies ;-))
As does mine. I enjoy this site as a place to "lighten the mood of the day", yet we are often reminded that some things happen that are out of our control. We've never met and most likely never will but our thoughts seem to be as one when tragedy or heartache happens. Our support may be just writings on the web but as sincere as if we were standing beside you.
Well put, these posters have become my "friends" and compatriots in every way except meeting them in person and shaking their hands. Oddly enought I have met a number of fellas from the THC board, and not surprisingly they were even nicer people than I thought they might be.
First, thanks to all who lifted up prayers for my dear Mother-in-Law, Louise. She is now safely in the Arms of Jesus since 6:30 am this morning. She was 91, and a wonderful woman. My wife and son were able to get to Boston to see her Saturday and Sunday. My son is taking it pretty hard since "Grammie" has always been there for him. And I think a lot of issues that existed between my wife and Louise were resolved this weekend before Louise's death for which I am very grateful. Thanks, guys.
My condolences Tex. It's a hard thing to have to go through. Extend my wishes to your wife on her loss.
You and yours have my heartfelt condolences, it is difficult to lose a loved one. It sounds as if she had a fine and long life, and was loved by all who knew her.
A loss like that is never easy to accept. It will be hard for awhile, but you will get though it. Be strong for the family. We will continue to pray for your strength and getting through this trying time for you and your family.
Sorry to hear for your familys loss tex, though sad it is nice that your wife and her mother made any sort of amends in the final days that both are now at peace.
