I was going over 'It happened in 2005' and came across an article with the headline:

    'Hitler had nuclear weapons'

On the 14th of march German Historian Rainer Karlsch published the book Hitlers Bomb.

Based on previously unknown Russian documents, Karlsch claimed that germany had developed dirty nuclear bombs. Basically conventional bombs with a nuclear materiel added.

Some armerican historians supported this, but most german historians claimed it to be rubbish.

The bombs had been tried out on POW's several hundreds had died from it.

    Has anybody read the book??

Sorry I didn't read it, but i read another book talking about the atomic research german were doing during WWII.

They never went to the conclusion that the germans scientists had any good result but it seems that they were very advance. Suppose to be a lot ahead of Soviets.

The major atomic research place was located in Berlin and was caller the Kaiser-Wilhem Institu. You can look in the book the strategic of the III Reich, they talk about it.

But Once again, I never read that they were in possession of the Bomb.

    Thank you

Japan detonated their atomic bomb 5 days after the Americans bombed Japan's cities (Nagasaki or Hiroshima, I missed which one). It was even on t.v.

The type of nuclear material needed for a 'dirty' bomb can only be obtained, if you have a working nuclear reactor.
The Germans didn't have a working reactor, so no dirty bomb.
The area this is supposed to have taken place, was in the last few weeks, tested for nuclear radioactivity. They didn't find any!

Its a load of nonsense

I just quoted the article. It seems to me as another 'Hitler Diary' thing. (for us who are old enough to remember)
