Guys, I'm sure all of you know by now with me is My love For Heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen! Well, I find her as an 1/1;44 scale RC model! here is a little about the model: Model Length: 57in or 4-feet/9-inches-long, Model Beam: 5inches, Model Weight: 14 lbs, Number in Class: 3, Battle Units: 3.5, Props: 3, Rudders: 1, Speed: 23sec., Turrets: 4! But If and when i do get her, i'll let u guys follow the build through photos and I'll put updates up ok! let me know what you guys think ok! Here are two photos of the Hull and her when her done, she not mine, but she's my friend Steven Thrall's ship! Pictures by NASAAN101 - Photobucket Nikki
If you are building a model have a look at this picture of her after the second Bikini nuke, lots of details visible and she doesn't look too bad. View attachment 12720 but for sheer looks I still prefer her Italian namesake Eugenio di Savoia (the Austrian WW1 12" battleship of the same name is no competition for looks). AFAIK the man signed himself as Eugen Von Savoy so all three ship names are wrong !!!

Guys, thanks. If you guys have any Questions, just asked ok this one might answer all of them for you guys. Hulls are fiberglass hull! and there build to take this! the Fiberglass hulls are covered with very thin 1/32 balsa which allow the BB's that are fired from the the other ships guns mounted on the ships to penetrate and cause damage either below or above the waterline. A typical setup for a 3.5 unit cruiser like Prinz is 1 pump of 1 unit, 1 BB gun with a 75 rounds magazine (1.5 units) and a 1 unit 50 rounds Magazine BB gun! Now my thing is to 50 rounds Magazine gun in the bow or sturn and a full pump! Nikki
Guys, Now my thing is to 50 rounds Magazine gun in her bow or Sturn and plus the full pump, that way, she can take a long more hits, and still stay afloat! what do you guys thing? Nikki
Shuttlelover, a little off topic, but at the state fair this year we had a real nice model of the Prinz Eugen displayed. I don't know the scale, but it was a beauty! I don't get to see cool stuff like that usually, since I live in the desert! Here is a very poor photo of it that my friend took with his phone. I wish I had brought my own camera!
Darren, One of the nice things about these model are, designed to be immersed in water. so Its take any were between 30-Minutes to an hour to patch them up!! But the two I'm looking at both had very good careers! They are German Heavy Cruisers Little Lutzow and Little Prinz Eugen! Nikki
