HI ,I want to show some pics of my M1 carbine ,personal I think this is one of the best carbines ever made ,this little jewel is a full original WW2 carbine, story on this one is that it was used on the beaches of Normandy thinking that storys are like a.......les and that everbody has got one, I googled a bitt and found an expert ,The man told me that this m1 most certainly saw action issued between 1943 and 1945 inspectors stamp GHD ,Brigadier General GUY H. DREWRY head of the Springfield Ordnance district, original two-position flip top rear sight,type1 barrel band, push button safety and flat top bolt , P
Very nice! I'd highly skeptical about anyone saying it saw action...you never know though I guess. Great looking gun. Do you shoot it often? I used to shoot mine quite a bit but the ammo has gotten expensive and hard to find unless you buy it in bulk...and I don't enjoy shooting it enough to do that.
Thanks ,storys are nice and you dont have to pay for them and thats all I have with stories The M1 is one of my favourit guns,I shoot it at a regular base and always use type sellier&bellot ammo ,18$ -50 rounds I want to point out to you that I am not an American, and purchased the gun from an inhabitant of the town La Gleize ,Belgium ,this guy sold an MP40 submachinegun and the m1 ,I passed on the MP40 since it is illegal to own this weapon regards P
now that's what I call nice guns,I think the garand is a fine a rifle ,never shot one ,but I had some practice with the S.A.F.N also rounded for the 30-06,I saw a M1 garand found on Utah beach the rifle was exposed by a storm and found afterwards by a sunbathing tourist in 1972 the rifle was still packed in a sort of plastic bag,it was still in a very nice condition P.
the stock on those guns is just beautiful,a very nice pattina.I suppose that the enfield is a .303,never fired an enfield exept an 1860 snider conversion in 450/577 black powder P.
Hi,Ulrich ,mine is also an underwood this carbine is one of my favourits, lightweight ,never jams,I believe I saw some of your modern guns on another thread ,I think that you are not only intrested in WW2 ,but just as I love all guns in general P.
Yes Pierre, thats right! I like the modern ones too but my main interest is in WWII guns. How does your Carbine shoot? I am very satisfied with my one, with reloaded ammo i can hold 1.5" at 100 meters. Regards Ulrich
Hi Ulrich the M1 is mostly used for outdoor plincking, I know this carbine can be very accurate but never used it for that discipline, shooting the metal silhouette at rapid fire is one off my favourite's,I never reload but always use the factory sellier&bellot ammunition also used in the luger an cyq P.38 if the 1.5 at 100 meters was not benchrest fired than you are a good shot ,long range shooting is not one of my discipline's,I am becoming an old geezer and my eyesight on long range is not all that LOL Cheers ps take look in my album where you can see my guns P.
Hi Pierre, My shooting was from sitting position off an sandbag. I added the target, there are some shots for adjustment around the bull and one bad flyer in the upper nine. Do you have no problems with the S&B Ammo in your P08 for the higher pressure? "Old Geezer", hey whats that?! You´re never to old to do fine funny things. Great collection, i like the .45 Peacemaker Colt´s. Good shooting with them! Regards Ulrich
Hi Ulrich ,the old geezer thing is just a joke ,nice grouping, maybe I will get the same result shooting it at 50 meters, you own a very nice long distance sport rifle too,as for the ammo I don"t shoot the luger that many but I fired it once with original WW2 german ammo and that seemed stronger to me than the s&b ammo this is another one off my favoured toy's maverick 12/76 magnum" cheap gun but great fun" :shotgun: regards P.
It seems that we have the same taste on guns! I have a Maverick M88 too, veeeery funny! Regards Ulrich
