I saw this article when it first came out. I was surprised that it didn't get airtime on the news? Incredible story! He was ordered to join the men storming the beaches at Normandy, not to fight but to keep the morale of the soldiers up by playing the bagpipes for them! It is just so incredible, I can't even comprehend. He just said OK and got on with it. What a guy! What a time! May he rest in peace ... and enjoy whatever comes next!
