Anyone else here ever tried or played ArmA II? I bought the Combined Arms version the other day (includes ArmA II and the recent expansion Operation Arrowhead). The game is hard as hell but still fun, it aims to be as "realistic" as possible, though its still a game and there are some discrepancies here and there, the AI is also kinda meh. A lot of this has been addressed by the modding community though with some mods adding realistic logistics and towable artillery and even one that requires you to put in earplugs to avoid getting defend by the sound of your gun or near by artillery. There are also some WWII mods, both released and in the works.

Yeah, I have it, and played it briefly. Should get back into it really.

if you don't have Operation Arrowhead already watch out if you decide to buy it, its has rather high minimum requirements, with the gpu requirement alone being 512mb

sadly I can't play it online due to a slow internet connection, which is sad as the game seems like it would be a lot of fun to play with other people.
