    Very nice photos.

    I didn't make it all the way through the gallery, but I did note:

    Odd looking vehicle there. Looks to be a late model StuG III chassis with an ad-hoc mounting for a cannon from a T34?

    That's an SU-76i - they used PzIII and StugIII chassis, mostly captured around stalingrad - according to some sources around 300 were made and some even used again by the Germans when captured back, however some stats here might slightly disagree with that;

    Oh and nice gallery Sn

    Good info, Spartan- figured it was something like that.

    Would be amusing to try and trace the history of the one in the picture, given that it survived the war. Or, find one that went from Germans -> Russians -> Germans. Interesting, indeed.

    :cheers:

    Have to give the Russians credit, they don't recycle their history the way we do. In Galveston baythere is a Destroyer Escort, USS Stewart, beached there. Sadly it is rusting away.

    There actually seem to be quite a lot that survived - google image search gives lots of current ones dotted about russia mostly.
