Seen a lot of these before but some new ones for me. World Of Mysteries: Red Army During World War II (109 Pics)
Great stuff! Took the liberty of Photoshop enhancing the Armia Czerwona shot and I hope this is OK. Are there any English accounts of AC soldiers (Polish formations serving in the Red Army) out there? JeffinMNUSA
Ulrich; Thanks! Black and White purists are horrified that the old photos are being colorized by Photoshop techniques but...well so long as they are used to enhance the original I see it as a positive thing. JEffinMNUSA
Hi; A colorization of another great photo-took me all morning what with a combination of color burns and hand painting blended into the burn. The file was titled "Armia Cerwona" and does this mean that these were Polish Soldiers in Red Army Uniform? Or does it simply mean "Red Army" in Polish? Damn! COuld not get this one to upload! Thanks Ulrich; ANd my kids find recolorizations (I say "recolorization" as the original scene was no doubt in color and no doubt the photographer would have recorded it as so if the technology would have been available) of the old family photos way more palatable than the old Black and Whites ( http://family.webshots.com/photo/2762744100030546503CqknbQ ). Here's a recolored sniper shot and I think it adds dimension. apu8 pictures from history photos on webshots JeffinMNUSA
