Interesting Article concerning Mortman2004 and or Ranger6 for you all to read

Although First Sargant CJ Grisham has dealt with Nigerian scammers online posing as dead or retired soldiers, my story was completely different. Apparently Mike has disappeared from view only to show back up when he joined Facebook and decided to scam women of money, one he lived with in Michigan. What makes my story so much different than the others is that my scammer was AMERICAN and posing as a retired major in the US Army. However, I think Mike's story takes a different twist with me-which all I'll say is that he fell in love with me, something he did not expect to do.

As you all have read in previous posts, Mike has made some whopper comments about his time served in the military only to be known that he served in the US Army National Guard for 6 months before going to prison in Stillwater Minnesota for assault. Since then he's been in prison for credit card theft, terrorist threats and probably many more things too numerous to mention that I will never know about until it all comes to light later on. He's scammed many women including one who is on disability in Jacksonville, NC with stage 4 cancer which thoroughly sickens me to no end. Any pictures you have seen of Mike were of his stint in the National Guard and the Captain's picture belongs to a REAL Ranger living in Washington state. All of his medals, anything and everything photograph wise was not his to brag off; they belonged to someone else.

He is an angry individual with a silver forked tongue that lies like the Devil himself. Although it cost me money, tears, trust and a piece of my heart to catch this demon (which is what I call him now), I hope that anyone wishing to try what he did will be warned not do pull the stunts he did. There are days I can barely breathe because of the damage he's done to me and there are moments when I can stand up and say, "I can live again." As I said earlier, I feel so horrible for the soldier whose identity he took..and the other women who have been taken of their money and their pride.

I pray that he will never ever hurt another person again with his lies, deceit or his anger.

Sorry to butt in so late but, Lady, I feel sorry for you about getting scammed by such a $%&^&wad. I hope you and any others get correct justice given for this creepos crimes. As someone who TRIED to serve in the military but never coukld due to health problems, mortman is the lowest form of scum I can think of-posing as a Vet.

 

To me, one of the lowest forms of crap on the earth are those who steal other's identities to make themselves look better in the eyes or monitors of the world. Mike is probably in jail by now if not on the run from the authorities. I'm still reeling from this a little but slowly getting back on my feet thanks to friends and family helping me through this. Also being on this board and the other World War Two board have been a kind of therapy for me as I get to concentrate on one of my "loves"-learning about the vast history of World War Two and all of its many topics.

I owe many here a debt of gratitude that I can never repay. Now, back to my regularly scheduled program already in progress..

 

I haven't been around for a while and I find this thread quite an interesting read. We've all been suckered at least once in our lives, in one form or another.
Lady Prime, I am impressed that you are not letting this guy get away with what he's done. You're doing the right thing. All I can say after reading through this thread is keep the faith.
