The music and most of the photography sucks, but you get the idea.

the IPMS is quite the modeling arena I must admit, attended one in Santa Clara Cali years ago and the talent is enormous. was a member for about 5 years.

I wish I had the money and skill to keep-up with some of this stuff. But the costs for models right now are just through the roof. If you go to my local hobbie & toy, a decent model will cost you around 35-50 Dollars.

Try modeling in 1/72 scale. These models usually go for around the <20 dollar range. With 1/72, if you build both aircraft and armor, you can have them all in the same scale without taking up half the space in your house. You could also look at some 1/48 scale armor, as some of these are quite affordable. If you want the bigger scales, look for some of the older kits by Academy and Monogram -- just because they are old doesn't mean they are poor kits. I just finished building a 1//72 Monogram B-36 (the model molds date to the 1980s), and it makes a fine kit "out of the box".
