It didn't really kill any one but I would have to say a K-31 most beautiful weapon ever!

Mines. Killing, maiming, disabling armor and thus slowing an attack. Good weapon.

Can you please substantiate a bit more this interesting statement for us poor mortals?

This is what we normally associate with a B-52 but we have been proved wrong somewhat often...

The B-52 wasn't available till the late 50's. And there wasn't a bomb type carried by the AAF designated "B-52" in WWII.

Ok first of all do not ever believe games or documentaries as facts, because games are exactly that, they are games made for fun they bend facts and even break them. NEVER believe what is in them until verified by real history books about the subject. As for documentaries most of them I have found are the historians opinions not facts.

Here are some real facts on the king tiger.

    Quote from AFV's of ww2

"The German King Tiger was introduced in early 1944 and was the most powerful tank during world war 2. With its powerful 88mm gun and an almost impenetrable front armor, it was one of the most feared weapons of world war 2. Up to the end of the war, the allies had not introduce any effective means to counter the threat.

However, the size and weight of the King Tiger had its share of problems. It suffered mechanically with many breakdowns and had poor maneuverability. Many roads and especially bridges were not suitable for a tank this size and the fuel requirements was enormous. Many were abandoned due to lack of fuel rather then being destroyed during the offensive in the Ardennes. Production also suffered with the bombing of the Henschel factory and there simply weren’t enough of these around. The King Tiger was a case of too late and too few in number to make a difference in the outcome of the war."

Basically the German King tiger was a good tank however it was a waste of industrial resources at a time when germany needed it the most, it was only really suitable as a stationary tank which defeats the purpose of it being a tank which is supposed to be based on mobility not stationary, It used to much fuel when there were fuel shortages, prone to breaking down and there were not even enough.

Hitlers saying of "Biggest is Best" is not always the truth just look at the KIng Tiger, Elephant, JadgTiger and so on.

Are you confusing this with the German 88mm Flak gun?

If so this is not a howitzer but actually a Flak gun which was found that it could destroy tanks just as well as aircraft and it became devastating to allied armour

I think you mean B17 Flying Fortress Bomber?
    King Tiger? Read Tomcat's Post.
Parther? What on Earth is one of those?
The 88 was not a howitzer, but there was a 88mm Flak, 88mm Pak43 and a totaly different 88mm used by the Kreigsmarine. Please specify wich one you mean.
The atom Bomb my have ended the war, but at Millions of dollars, it wasent cheap. But, having said that, neither where the million plus lives projected to be lost if Japan was invaded.

And so what if the King Tiger kicked butt in a game? There might be a game where wizards come and Turn Hitler into a toad, that dosent prove he was one. I know he was a frog anyway.

In readings the V2-A4 is the best in its class. I also would have to agree with the Russian T-34 as the best tank in speed. The best rifle/smg would be the German Stg-44
