    Hello everybody,
I have a question to naval specialists. What was the amount of aviation fuel aboard BBs and CA/CLs for their floatplanes? Its especially interesting in Kriegsmarine raiders, could their captains afford to use them frequently, or were they forced to conserve them for "emergency use only"? And how does it compare with other navies?
The only info i found is about Iowas (22.8 cubic metres, so probably 25 missions for Kingfishers)

For German ships I'd ask over on Kbismarck

For the Littorio classI have 17t of "benzina" (gasoline) that could be aviation fuel but alsofor the motor launches or some "starter" engines.

Lads from kbismarck gave figures for Bismarck and Scharnhorst classes : 34t and 25,5t respectively (just in case anybody needs this info)
Happy new year to all of you :)

Another good reason to get the spotter planes off the BBs.
