REMEMBER THE ALAMO................... belongs to Mexico if I put this in small letters and way down here,,,no one will ever see it...and I won't cause an international incident.
As the first responder, urqh is now an a temporary Texan! * Privledge expires at Midnight tonite Central Time.
No one should ever, henceforth say "Remember the Alamo" with out mention of "the Texas Santa Fe Expedition" where Texas suffered it's most humiliating defeat.........!! It was quite understandable(considering feelings of "Manifest Destiny") that the Republic under Lamar, hatched an overextended plot to "capture" New Mexico..........a Republic having no taxing authority, bankrupt and without successful machinery for governance would then attempt such a task with volunteers who could not within 3 months find their way to Santa Fe with their $200,000.00 payload. It remained Armijo's goal to surrender to the United States, a government system complete with Federal authority to tax and raise armies so it is no wonder no one wanted to surrender to Lamar and that crippled bankrupt Texas condition he called a Republic. The Texas Santa Fe Expedition
Also the motto for the 141st Regiment. 141st Infantry Regiment (United States) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Urgh, when you take your Texan Citizen Test, write that down for extra credit ! And you better like burritos....
Armadillo burritos.....still not enough tunnels for wildlife crossings in Tejas.....a little chile on it and no one knows the difference save the RoadKill butcher.....keeps coming down with leprosy for some reason.
Remember it....??? I was there...Well my uncle Urqh...Irish, panning for uranium in the Rio..Went over to complain about the noise...Ended up between Santa and Davey...Took off his uniform...green hat, waistcoat and just mingled...Its what we do...
