Cpl. Anne Hunter, 432232, WAAF Site, RAF Station, Pershore, Worcestershire

Trying to find information about this service member. My wife's family has a letter from her dated January 1945.

Her service number seems to be American? but she uses typically British words in her letter, like 'mum' and 'cheerio.' Canadian?

Any help would be most appreciated.

 

Live close to this old airfield...Now known as Throckmorton. Do you know her role...Pinvin was close by and Wick...some secret squreilling done there.

Most of the UK researchers are on our sister site ww2 talk...have you tried there also?

These are all men and women who were enlisted (read NON officers) in the Royal Air Force between 1918 and 1975.
These are huge files; some are a half GB in size. But they are free to download.

Have a look for your subject. If she was married you will see her married name.
