Just read the Madman and the Butcher by Tim Cook

After a slow start, this book got better the deeper I got into it.

I have just started to dabble into WW1, and I must say I'm very excited to learn more.

I recommend this book to fellow Canadians (anyone for that matter) who are interested in Canadian WW1 history

I'm very surprised to see that there was so much political B.S. between The Canadian government, Canadian Army, and the British government. It was fascinating

Sam Hughes was the "madman" and Sir Arthur Currie was the "butcher"
