A day or two ago, my search for a book I've been searching for since learning of its existance, has ended.
For those of you who know, I am, a WWII re-enactor/living historian. I portray a member of the West Nova Scotia Regiment, and since learning of a book called "West Novas" by Thomas Raddall, I've been looking in used book stores everywhere for it, and I finally found it.

I bought this copy of the book for $30 and, doing some research after finding a name on the inside of the previous owner, this book belonged to the CQSM of A Company of the Regiment. His name was C.F. Whynacht (Capt) and I learned he was one of the "originals" who went over in '39 and returned in '45 after the war ended.

This book has since seen better days, but I'm glad that is now home in my bookshelf.

Nice ! Finding what you've been searching for is good - finding it has a personal relationship to the subject is Outstanding.

Agreed Biak. And for $30 Canadian...I feel like I stole it. I've found copies for 130 at one book store, another copy was selling for 230 dollars and another member of the WWII grouup I'm in saw it for $500 on Amazon
