Just heard on the news that the veteran character actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman has died of a apparent drug overdose. Often took offbeat roles but a great actor in drama or comedy.

    Rest in Peace.

Such a tragic loss for the art. Loved his roles.

Heroin is a hell of a drug, very tough to get out from under that mess. I'll miss his performances, but I guess no one will miss him more than his three kids.

You've hit on the real tragedy there. Oh, I forgot. It's a victimless crime. My bad.

TD-Tommy, agree with you on the true tragedy. Though I think you are also implying drugs like heroin should be kept illegal?

Don't want to throw this off-topic, but making Heroin legal isn't going to make hordes of people run out and try it. Being illegal obviously didn't stop Hoffman from trying it. Anyways we don't know all the details of his overdose. Was it a suicide? Was it legal prescription drugs? A huge drug cocktail? Was is a poor quality adulterated dose of a drug different from what he though he was taking? I do not take drugs, but whatever the case they should not be illegal within a civilized group of people. That's my opinion.
