It's been a while since I last posted here and it seems I've written a bit and posted some pictures elsewhere. I is behind. First: I built some structures for my gaming table . . . There's more art and an explanation of how I built them in a post called Industrial Scale. It's all basically pretty simple balsawood stuff. I also painted up some ships for a friend that you can read about in Commissions for a New War. I finally got around to the fleet review: I also made a Fleet Review video this year. The stop-motion animation in the second half is, hopefully, kind of fun. Lastly, here's a few photos of my own new models: (mostly ASW escorts and merchies.) USCGC Campbell and Taney USCGC Tallapoosa, Haida, and Algonquin HMS Aubretia (a Viking Forge/Seabattles model) with Dianthus (a GHQ model) for comparison MN ASW trawler La Toulonnaise Asama Maru Hikawa Maru
Did you like the stop motion animation in the video? I should have put the stop motion animation closer to the beginning and had more of it. An error in judgment on my part, but what's done is done and it will stand. Will do a better job with that part next time. Glad you liked the review. It's always fun and I think the art is slowly getting better.
