I notice the blurb about the author....John Sliz....lives in Toronto with his wife and three cats.

Shouldn't the cats be "living with John and his wife?..Not the other way around?

Easy to see just who rules the roost in their house!

Sorry, off topic, but worth a comment! Authors are funny folk! Those cats must be pretty bossy!

During an interview for Storm Boat Kings a veteran mentioned that Operation Duck was worse than Operation Berlin. This was the inspiration that started many years of research. The book starts with the recon (17th Dukes) entering Germany and covers the advance up to Leer, the River Assault, the town's capture and the advance north from Leer until the end of the war. I cover all of 3rd Canadian Infantry Division's units and all of the support units, including the artillery, armour and engineers. Also, with help from the Leer Archives, the German view is presented.

re Cats: yes, you have that right. It can get loud here, especially with a 4 month kitten.
