Dang ambivalent I guess. I like maps and pix. All words are ok too I guess, but it sure does make for a lot of reading.

I've never thought less of any novel which chooses to illustrate certain scenes or give maps....obviously an author relies on the most powerful scene generator of all, the readers own imagination...but there are no rules in writing no matter what an editor/agent might tell you : )

Got another 5 star review - that's 5 in a row. :dance4: Sorry - but this is years of my life and it feels good to read the comments. Kind of wish Lou had read the final version rather than the ARC now. I fixed a couple small things in the final version. There is still one small typo that bugs me, but I haven't heard back from my formatter yet. You guys have no idea how much work goes into something like this - agonizing over every little detail...it's good to finally have it done!

How much change is there? I'd be curious to see the differences.

Okay guys - I've been promising to run a promo, here it is: FROM 12/6 to 12/12, get the Kindle version of House of Apache Fires for just 99 CENTS! That's less than a cup of coffee! I warn you though, once you read it, you'll want a signed copy. Hmmm. Maybe I should run a giveaway contest? I'm up to 8 five-star reviews BTW...

Got your address Lou. Your copy will be out of the next order I place. 10 stars now, and #34 in Alternative History.

No reviews under 5 stars either. That's pretty impressive. I haven't read my copy yet but it's high on the list.

Sorry I haven't been around guys - I've been having computer issues. Finally resolved I think - was using an old, crappy machine for a bit. Anyway, I'm doing a giveaway of 3 signed copies on Goodreads right now - but am thinking about doing a giveaway here at some point. Anyone interested?

    Goodreads is a website.

I recommend the book to all who enjoy fiction and alternative history.
