Children likely to become mass murderers

Oh hold it, that me and my sister and cousins Christmas 1959, none of us ever killed anyone. But how could that be? When our parents were so twisted as to celebrate the birth of Christ by giving their children toy guns?

No more babysitting the grankids with their Nerf guns. Not to mention their skills at wargames. Being part of the great British Empire, I grew up knowing the goodies from the baddies with patriotic songs taught in school. Basically, if you were not British - you were a baddie. It made sense to me as a kid. Since then I have reneged on my education and not killed anyone.

 

Three mates denied toy guns as kids by vaguely hippyish parents.
Two of 'em later went into the armed forces.

This continues to amuse me many years later.

Are you the one with the 2 gun rig? I had a Lone Ranger outfit complete with hat, mask, holster & six shooter. It was only a cap gun, of course.

 

I think I've written before...that we didn't have many toys...but my dad knew a bloke who made replica weapons for museums, without us knowing he got this bloke to make two German sub machine guns...made of wood but looking every bit the real thing! Probably the best 'toy' I ever received...

 

no one told you? you were under constant surveillance by plain clothes cops beginning age 13. the state government has kindly agreed to shoulder the costs.

 

That's me and they were only cap guns also. but our imaginations made them real.
