My wife and i just popped up the road where we live to our local Cenotaph and were quite surprised to see how many people were there. Over the years i can say our local Cenotaph has increased its attendance, i would hope this is the same through out the world. It is sad to know that only 5 British Soldiers remain alive that fought in WW1..

We did all the usual things, that we do on VETERANS day. SOS for breakfast, and open presents, then off to the cemetary to watch the parade of colours and hear the speaches. We love it every year, and every year we are dwindleing in numbers. Such a shame!:wtf:

They are having the parade today but right now it is pouring outside. It is suppoused to clear up so I am hoping that it will. Thank you for the pictures. It does look like you had a nice day and a good turnout. It is always heartwarming to see that.

We honorably celebrate it every year. I really don't understand why the BX doesn't close down? It just seems wrong to me.

I think the bases should do more on Veterans Day.

I celebrated with a prayer for those soldiers and my late uncle. I always used to celebrate it with him. Had the best time always. He was always a lady's man even with his pulled up trousers and pocket pen holder.
They dont make em like that anymore:).
