Hello everyone. Forgive my spelling I’m new to this forum and like many others here I do have a found respect for our WW2 vets who are lightly numbered now. Last year in October I decided to take a trip to Normandy and visit all the places that our vet fought at. From St. Marie Do Mount, St. Mere E'glise....I visited the actual site of Bancore Manor....all the cemeteries in the area. I then headed to Belgium, Bastogne to fight the battle of the bulge. I visited the Malmedy site, took a tour at the 101st command center in Bastogne where the famous word was wrote "NUT's". Visited sites in Luxemburg, Holland all the way into Germany. I spent the remainder of my days in a little city name Kassel Germany. I still have family there because my Mother was born and raised in Kassel. My Mother didn't come to U.S. until after the war; she married my Father before he came home from Germany. Ok, Ok....this is long enough; I could go on for a while. Thought I would share my experience with everyone

Apologies for their being out of order two different folders of images and an uploading gremlin led to duplication of photos so delete and go again , I am no computer genius.

Dick Winters reflects on a simple question his grandson asked him, no more to be said.
